Workshop summary:

The ability to find solutions is a key ingredient for success in the workplace. Often problem-solving in a business context starts with what is missing and dysfunctional rather than with what is working well already. SolutionSurfing, a method developed by Dr. Peter Szabó, encourages people to focus on and do more of what is working well, which is often faster and more effective than analysing difficulties and their causes. As a result, companies save time and costs and people use their strengths and potential to reach higher levels of performance.

This interactive 1.5 hour Taster offers an introduction to the SolutionSurfing method. Participants will explore the impact of language and the use of ‘scaling questions’ in generating solutions and get an opportunity to experience the method in action.

Maren Donata Urschel is an experienced coach and coach supervisor who has spent her career working with senior executives internationally in consulting, knowledge management, business development, research and project management. She has lived in three countries, is multi-lingual (fluent English/German, advanced Italian) and brings freshness, professionalism and a real joy in partnering with her clients to enable them to discover their potential and use it to their best advantage. Maren holds a Masters in Organisational Psychology from the London School of Economics, a Bachelor degree in Drama and English Literature and other international academic and professional qualifications.
